LANScan Events - Configuring an Event
The Event configuration dialog uses Property Sheets to organize the options
The 'Main' Sheet appears first. Its contents will vary, depending on the type of
Event selected. For a Response Event, you must define the response time(Threshold)
beyond which the device is considered to be Slow. Number of Failures sets
the number of consecutive times the Event must occur before the Event will be
triggered.

The Filter Sheet is not used in the Response Event, but it is used in Events
that measure traffic
The Report Sheet describes how LANScan will announce the Event.

Update Status will cause LANScan to change the color of the object
status light, displayed next to its Icon in the Layour and the Explorer view. OK
is Green, Warning is Yellow and Fault is Red.
Report Group:Level is used to link the Event to advanced reporting
options. Those are described in detail in a later tour stop.
The Message is displayed in the Log when the Event is triggered.
