LANScan Device Views - Conversation
View
With a Device view, the Conversation view shows all network devices that
either transmit to or receive data from the configured device. To show all of
this information, more columns are used in the list.

Above is an example of a Device Summary. The same data is presented as on a
Network Summary - except it now only includes traffic to/from the Device. The
top tree entry reports the user defined device name and also the network address
of the device(in this case its the MAC address of a cable modem).
The Bandwidth now reports the percentage of device bandwidth used. By
default, this is the same as network bandwidth, but it can be modified on a
device-by-device basis. This feature is especially useful for evaluating the use
of WAN links, like Cable Modems, DSL lines, Routers and more. Set the Device
bandwidth to match the WAN interface limits and LANScan will report of the % of
that bandwidth used.
Top Hosts and Top Protocols only report on those Hosts and
Protocols used in network traffic relating to this devices' address.
Details on the Settings and Context menus can be found at the Network views
tour stops. Follow More Info to see examples of the Device Trend, Conversation
and Protocol views.
