LANScan CSV Logging
CSV stands for 'Comma Separated Variable'. Its the most common, easily usable
data format available. You can open CSV files with any text editor, and most all
database and spreadsheet programs can import CSV files directly.
LANScan generates CSV files containing the data used to create the real time
views. You get a Summary, Conversation and Protocol file for each object enabled
for logging. Plus you get an Event log for the system. Note that LANScan Trends
use the same data as the Conversation view so there is no need for a Trend file.
CSV logging does not occur automatically. You must enable it in two steps:
1> Enable Logging in the System Settings dialog (accessed via the 'Configure'
menu) and 2> Enable CSV logging in the actual object (from the Configuration
dialog for the Device or Network object).
Below is an example of a Summary log:
